Two talks are available
Nutrition
This talk is designed for those who need to learn the basic rules of a healthy diet because they cater as part of their work. Alternatively it could appeal to any group wishing to learn a valuable lifeskill. One such talk is aimed at adults with special needs.
- It is likely to be particularly useful for people who plan and prepare food for vulnerable groups such as young children or the elderly. Prince's Trust leaders often ask for such a course to pass on valuable knowledge to the young people involved.
- It is run in-house to a group of up to thirty and would normally last from one to three hours as required by the organisation involved. There is no exam but a certificate of attendance can be provided if required.
Total cost: Between £75 and £150 depending upon the duration and location of the talk.
Keeping Fit and Healthy
This talk is primarily designed for the elderly, perhaps in sheltered housing or attending a day centre. Alternatively it may be of interest to any adult group who meet on a formal basis through local church or community organisations.
- It covers Healthy Eating, Basic Food Hygiene, The Importance of Physical Activity and Staying Safe, including advice on Falls Prevention.
- It is run in-house to any size group and would normally last for between one hour and one and a half hours.
Total cost: Between £75 and £100 depending upon the duration and location of the talk.
