What is my background?

I have been involved in education all my working life, largely teaching primary school children.   Some years ago I changed direction and worked for the Environmental Health Deptartment of Mole Valley District Council as their Health Promotion Officer.  Whilst there, I gained the necessary qualifications to enable me to become a Trainer in Basic Food Hygiene.  I also became involved in giving talks to the elderly about 'The Prevention of Falls', 'Staying Healthy' and 'Nutrition'.  

What is my present position?

Today I work independently, enjoying the variety of challenges that come my way, mostly through word of mouth.   Details of the training and advice that I can offer can be found on subsequent pages but can be largely summed up as Training in Food Hygiene, Advising on Healthy Schools and giving Talks on both Nutrition and Healthy Living.  In 2008/9 I have an ongoing contract to deliver Food Hygiene to childminders through Surrey Early Years. I have also worked as an adviser to primary school staff as part of the Surrey Healthy Schools scheme.

Where am I based?

I work from home here in Horsham and travel throughout Surrey and Sussex.   I may be willing to travel into South London as well as Kent and Hampshire to run whole day courses.
